We split our large group of 45 people into four smaller groups.  Six of us from Grace teamed-up with two Costa Rican Young Life leaders, two local electricians and a local project supervisor to work on a family’s house all week.  During our stay we re-wired their whole house, rebuilt the front porch, put in a new front door, painted the front of the house, tiled their shower, repaired the roof, and assisted in an assortment of other smaller improvements.  It was also great to get to know them around the table at lunchtime.
